Seller-Lender Formula offers financing solutions and support for transferring a business that are advantageous to both the seller-lender, or borrower, and the buyer.

Eligible Applicants

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be over 18 years of age and domiciled in Québec;
  • Hold at least 20% of the interests in the farm business after your project is underway;
  • Show good profit-making potential;
  • Abide by the environmental standards set forth in the Environment Quality Act and the Agricultural Operations Regulations, including the requirements involving the phosphorus report and operating rights.

Eligible Expenses

  • Represents an investment that is 100% guaranteed by La Financière agricole.
  • Makes it possible to receive payments in the form of a monthly pension.
  • Makes it possible to gradually transfer the business.
  • Offers support for administering the loan.
